- 4 / 5By Vic RobertsonI have visited J Towne Tavern about five times. All the food I've tried has been good with one exception: I did not care for the "Cilantro Lime Tacos". What if your steak tasted like chicken? Even if it was good chicken it would be a bad steak. The "tacos" did not taste like tacos. It was a salad inside a taco shell with some cod added to it. Did not taste the cilantro nor the lime and there was no hint of anything Mexican. I'm still rating it four stars because everything else there has been very good. // Follow-up edit: I am extremely impressed that the Owner read and responded to my comment on the tacos and planned to discuss the dish with their chef. I've never had an Owner respond to a rating. Shows that this restaurant cares about and listens to their customers!June 04, 2016
